My avian works aim to mashup renaissance portraiture with the scientific illustration style of Audubon, in order to pay homage to the surviving local fauna of northern California.

 

In my landscapes I'm trying to express the ineffable affinity we have with dramatic moments of natural light.  As if these universal glowing optical phenomena, are hailing a similar and veritable light from within.
